Extremely valuable techniques for helping clients become more pain free and mobile. The online material allows me to review and work at my own pace while the in-person workshops help me fine tune the techniques and become energized to learn more! I"m working through the Foundational coursework now and am looking forward to the Legacy workshop this week in OK!

I cannot say enough about the Solving Today's Pain and Injury Puzzle course. It was very similar to an in person class which I enjoyed very much. Seeing the videos and then seeing Erik demonstrate it again on actual people AND seeing bodyworkers immediately utilize those skills was quite beneficial to me. This course is very much worth your time.

The MAT program truly is one of a kind. Whether you’re taking the home study or at one of the in person courses, these techniques with completely elevate your practice! They will give you perspective, understanding, and insight that will help guide you to being a better therapist. If you do get the chance to take the in person courses, definitely do it!!! The teachers and assistants are AMAZING!

I just finished learning how to navigate the tests. So far veary easy to understand!I have completed the tests which are extremely easy to navigate. I do realize that passing the tests is the easy part. What is difficult is attaining proficiency in the application of knowledge learned.

Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques do a wonderous job of bridging practices between osteopathic manual therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, and physical therapy. I believe Dr. Dalton did the world of manual therapy a great service in pulling together concepts, assessments, corrective techniques, and home retraining from these several bodywork specialties. MAT opens a door into the world of whole body management when the therapist studies and really understands what the body is capable of when integrating the techniques. By all means, take the Myoskeletal Therapy courses offered, but take the time to understand the ins and outs: The importance of assessments, how to develop a treatment plan from your assessment, what is happening when you perform the techniques, and how and why they work as well as they do. Understand them so well that you can even "undo" them if you must.Dalton's courses are considered top-of-the-line orthopedic massage techniques and I'd agree with that. But they are so much more than that. Erik delves deeply into the nervous system and how to work with it, "Changing the Brain's Mind About Pain," as he says. And yet, these courses are presented in small, digestible bites which can be reviewed again and again so the student can proceed at a pace that suits them. Exams throughout each course test the student's understanding and subject nuances so as to ingrain important concepts as the course goes along. The MAT community online and in-person is hugely supportive, so students will find they are among friends. The Dalton Gang instructors and teaching assistants are among the best out there, committed to helping students understand MAT theory, assessments, and techniques. In other words, MAT students aren't alone if they don't want to be.Whether you're a massage therapist, a MD, DO, DC, PT or PTA, OT or OTA, or an ATC, take Erik Dalton's Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques courses and be ready to level-up!
